Biography

Ivan Alexandrovich Pelt (1780–1829) was a scientist whose work contributed to the advancement of Russian intellectual and scientific culture during the early 19th century. His forty-nine years were dedicated to scholarly pursuits and the expansion of scientific knowledge during a period of significant intellectual development in Russia.

Pelt's contributions to science were recognized within Russian academic circles, and he was laid to rest at Vvedenskoye Cemetery in Moscow.
