Dmitry Dmitrievich Ponomaryov (1784–1844) was a Russian figure who lived during the early 19th century, a period of significant historical importance for the Russian Empire. He witnessed the Napoleonic Wars and the subsequent development of Russian society under Alexander I and the early reign of Nicholas I.
Ponomaryov maintained his place in Russian society throughout this transformative era. His life spanned six decades of Russian history, from the reign of Catherine the Great through the consolidation of imperial power under Nicholas I. He was interred in the Tikhvin Cemetery, a significant burial ground for notable figures of his time.
