Aleksandr Sergeyevich Bernikov (1788–1844) was a Russian gentleman of the early 19th century whose life reflected the social and cultural milieu of the Russian nobility during a period of significant historical change. He lived through the Napoleonic Wars and the subsequent consolidation of the Russian Empire under Nicholas I.

Bernikov's life spanned the transformative decades of Russian history, and he was laid to rest at Volkovo Cemetery in Saint Petersburg, a cemetery that served as the final resting place for many of Saint Petersburg's notable citizens of his era.
