Biography

Иоанн (Kartushin) (1837–1915) was a devoted Orthodox clergyman who served the Russian Church during a transformative period in Russian religious life. His ministry spanned decades of significant change within the Orthodox ecclesiastical tradition and Russian society.

Father Ioanн's commitment to his pastoral duties and spiritual leadership left an indelible mark on those he served. He was interred at Rogozhskoye Cemetery, a sacred burial ground that holds the remains of many notable figures in Russian Orthodoxy.
