Maria Polievktovna Koltsova (1882–1940) was a Russian zoopsychologist and pioneering researcher in animal behavior and psychology. As one of the early scientists to study the psychological aspects of animal life, she made important contributions to the emerging field of comparative psychology and animal science.

Koltsova's work helped establish zoopsychology as a legitimate scientific discipline in Russia, and her research contributed to a deeper understanding of animal cognition and behavior during the early twentieth century.
