Biography

Evgraf Ivanovich Chekin was born in 1904 in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. He lived through a transformative period in Russian history, witnessing and experiencing the profound changes of the twentieth century in his native region.

Chekin's life spanned much of the Soviet era, and he remained connected to his roots in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast throughout his years. He passed away in 1971, having lived through decades of significant historical change.
