Biography

Nikolay Lavrentievich Platonov was born in 1920 and lived through the most dynamic period of Soviet history. His life spanned from the early Soviet period through the later decades of the twentieth century, witnessing tremendous social and political change.

Platonov passed away in 1984 and was laid to rest at Pyatnitskoye Cemetery. He is remembered as part of the generation that lived through and shaped the Soviet experience.
