A. C. Crispin delighted science fiction readers with richly detailed tie-in novels such as those in the Star Trek and V universes, and she championed aspiring writers through workshops and open-hearted advice.

Her colleagues remember her tireless advocacy for fellow authors and her bright curiosity, and in 2013 she was laid to rest at Joy Chapel Cemetery while fans honored her generosity.
