Biography
Abraham Harman (1914-1992) was a diplomat who strengthened Israel’s ties abroad as ambassador to the United States and later served as president of the Hebrew University, championing scholarly excellence and international partnerships. He worked tirelessly to advance education and to foster dialogue between nations.
He promoted research and encouraged generations of students, and after his burial at Har HaMenuchot his family and colleagues continue to honor the open-minded leadership he embodied.
