Abraham Van Wyck

Biography

Abraham Van Wyck was born in 1767 and lived through the American Revolution and the early decades of the nation's existence. He was part of the founding generation that established the institutions and values of the young republic.

Van Wyck passed in 1852 at an advanced age, having witnessed nearly nine decades of American history. He was laid to rest at Old Burying Hill Cemetery, a historic place reflecting his connection to the earliest traditions of his community.
