Biography

Achille-Eugène Godefroy was a talented painter whose artistic vision contributed to French cultural life in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. His work reflected the creative spirit of his era.

Godefroy's promising career was interrupted by the outbreak of the First World War. He died in 1914 and was interred at Tracy-le-Mont National Cemetery, remembered as one of many artists whose potential was cut short by the conflict.
