Biography
Adam Mansfeldt de Cardonnel-Lawson (1746–1820) rose through surgical training to become the trusted physician of Northumberland families, ministering to injuries, fevers, and the anxieties of childbirth in and around Cramlington.
He taught apprentices to approach the work with equal measures of skill and kindness, played a role in local health initiatives, and remained a calm presence in the district until his death in 1820.
