Biography

Addison White (1824–1909) brought a Kentuckian's practical wisdom to the halls of the U.S. House of Representatives, where he served from 1857 to 1861 with an earnest focus on fair compromise.

After public service, he returned to his beloved family circle, tending to agricultural and civic concerns with the same diligence, and he rests peacefully at Maple Hill Cemetery.
