Biography

Adolphe Pauli entered the architectural profession at a time of great civic growth, and through his designs he contributed to the careful expansion of Ghent’s public and religious buildings, always attentive to proportion and the needs of everyday citizens.

He remained a respected figure in West Flanders until his passing in 1895, and his presence is commemorated at Westerbegraafplaats in Ghent.
