Biography

Adrien-Henri de Jussieu (1797–1853) was a distinguished French botanist and botanical collector whose scientific work advanced the understanding of plant taxonomy and natural history. A member of the renowned Jussieu family of naturalists, he continued his family's legacy of botanical excellence.

De Jussieu's contributions to botanical science and his extensive collections enriched French scientific institutions. His work reflected the nineteenth-century commitment to systematic natural history, and he maintained an influential position in French scientific circles until his death in 1853. He was buried in Montparnasse Cemetery.
