Biography

Adrien Louis Lecocq (1832–1887) was a French painter who contributed to the artistic life of nineteenth-century France. Working during the mid-to-late nineteenth century, he participated in the rich artistic traditions of Parisian painting.

Lecocq's career as a painter reflected the vibrant cultural scene of the Second Empire and early Third Republic. He was interred in Montparnasse Cemetery, among the notable artists and intellectuals of his era.
