Alan Seeger

Biography

Alan Seeger was born in 1888 and became known as a writer of considerable talent and promise. He died in 1916, during World War I, having volunteered to serve in the conflict that would claim his life.

Seeger's literary contributions and his ultimate sacrifice are remembered at Lihons National Cemetery in France. His work and his service stand as a poignant reminder of the creative minds lost to the Great War.
