Biography
Albert Alavoine was born in 1911 and served as a fireman in Ivry-sur-Seine, where his duties kept him close to the people and the pulse of the city.
He used his knowledge of the streets to warn neighbors of danger and to ferry messages, and when he died in 1942 his comrades remembered a steady presence who never hesitated to act.
