Albert C. Greene

Biography

Albert C. Greene was born in 1791 and lived through the early decades of American independence. He was a prominent figure in Rhode Island, contributing to the cultural and intellectual life of his community during the early nineteenth century.

Greene passed away in 1863 during the Civil War, having lived to see the nation he knew transformed by conflict. He was interred at Swan Point Cemetery in Providence, where his memory is preserved among the notable figures of Rhode Island history.
