Biography

Aleksandr Posnikov (1846–1922) was a Russian politician who served Moscow throughout a period of significant national change. He was engaged in civic governance and political affairs during the late Imperial and early Soviet eras.

Posnikov's long career reflected his commitment to public service in Moscow. He witnessed and participated in the dramatic transformations of Russian political life from the late nineteenth century through the early years of the Soviet state.
