Biography
Aleksandra Ostrowska was a Polish political activist whose commitment to her nation's independence and democratic ideals defined her life during one of Europe's darkest periods. Born in 1920, she engaged in political activism during the Nazi occupation, working to advance the cause of Polish freedom and sovereignty.
Ostrowska's dedication to her political convictions led to her death in 1944 at the age of twenty-four. Her memory is preserved at Powązki Military Cemetery, where she rests among other Polish patriots who gave their lives for their country's liberation and future.
