Biography

Aleksandrs Lembergs (1921–1985) gave himself wholeheartedly to the Latvian stage and screen, bringing sincerity and warmth to every role he inhabited. His performances reflected a deep respect for the nation’s stories, and he stood as a steady presence in theatres during a time of great change.

Colleagues recall that he balanced artistry with generosity, encouraging younger actors and sharing the discipline of his craft while remaining rooted in the community around Matīsa Cemetery.
