Biography
Aleksey Chegodayev was a Russian figure who lived through one of the most turbulent periods in his nation's history. He witnessed the transition from Imperial rule through revolution and into the Soviet era.
Chegodayev eventually made his way to France, where he joined the Russian émigré community. He spent his final years in exile and was interred at the Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery, a sanctuary for many displaced Russians.
