Biography

Alex Anderson brought wit and illustration skill to midcentury America, helping to originate the characters and comic sensibility that would become The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show while also producing punchy syndicated panels that celebrated everyday absurdities.

He encouraged young cartoonists, shared his craft at workshops and conventions, and remained a fixture in the cartooning community well into retirement, laying to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
