Alexander Birnie

Biography

Alexander Birnie was a successful businessperson who contributed to commercial and economic life during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Born in 1763, he pursued business endeavors that established him as a figure of some prominence in his community and commercial circles.

Birnie's career in business spanned several decades, during which he accumulated experience and respect in his field. He lived until 1835, maintaining his business interests throughout much of his adult life, and was honored with burial at Bunhill Fields Burial Ground upon his death.
