Alexander H. Jones (1822-1901) devoted decades to civic life, always ready to advise newcomers and keep the affairs of his coastal town in careful balance.

His courtesy, steady hand, and love for the community lived on through generations of neighbors, and he now rests at Long Beach Municipal Cemetery.
