Alexander McDonald Thomson, born in 1822 and passing in 1898, took his final rest within Union Cemetery, entrusting his memory to a place dedicated to shared remembrance.

Although little beyond the dates of his life may survive, the presence of his grave among others there ensures his name continues to be spoken with tenderness.
