Biography
Alexander Mordvilko was a botanist whose scientific work contributed to the advancement of botanical knowledge. His research and observations added to the understanding of plant life and natural history during his productive career in Russian science.
Mordvilko was executed in 1938 during the Great Purge, a period when many scientists and intellectuals were targeted by Soviet authorities. He was interred at Smolenskoye Orthodox Cemetery, where his memory is preserved among other victims of this tragic era.
