Biography
Alexander Neibaur (1808–1883), the first Jewish convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, brought his training as a dentist and linguist to Nauvoo, aiding the Saints through medical care and translating scriptures and correspondence.
He kept a vivid journal of early church life, ministered to families on the plains, and rests now in Salt Lake City Cemetery, his life a bridge between disparate cultures and a testimony of enduring faith.
