Biography

Alexander Rice Esty studied architecture and dedicated his gifts to designing churches, schools, and civic buildings that combined practicality with graceful detail across Massachusetts and New England.

His namesake structures continue to serve their communities, and the panels of Edgell Grove Cemetery and Mausoleum recall the thoughtful creativity he brought to each commission.
