Biography

Alexander Trachtenberg poured his energy into publishing and activism, giving voice to labor leaders and progressive thinkers as the founder of International Publishers.

His belief in the power of printed words to educate and uplift workers carried him through decades of organizing, and the Haymarket Martyrs' Monument marks the final resting place of this tireless advocate who died in 1966.
