Biography
Alexander W. Livingston devoted his talents to horticulture, introducing fruit and ornamental plants that enriched the gardens and orchards of his region; his nurseries became sources of new cultivars and he shared his knowledge with fellow growers.
Through his leadership in horticultural societies and his patient experiments with soil and plant breeding, he helped raise the standards of cultivation, leaving Glens Falls and beyond with a more vibrant landscape.
