Alexander W. Terrell

Biography

Alexander W. Terrell studied law after his birth in 1827 and served Texas with distinction as a legislator, jurist, and advocate for education during a career that bridged the nineteenth century.

He later represented the United States abroad as minister to the Ottoman Empire, bringing diplomatic skill and a calm temperament to global affairs before joining the honored ranks at the Texas State Cemetery.
