Biography

Alexander Yakovlev (1906–1989) was a Soviet writer and intellectual who contributed significantly to Russian literature and cultural discourse. His works reflected the complexities of Soviet society and the human experience during the twentieth century.

Yakovlev's literary career spanned much of the Soviet period, during which he engaged with themes of philosophy, history, and social commentary. He was buried at Novodevichy Cemetery, honoring his lasting contributions to Russian letters and cultural thought.
