Alfons Verdijck

Biography

Alfons Verdijck tended gardens before the war, finding purpose in the rhythm of planting and care as he served his community in Houthulst.

When the fighting reached his homeland, he answered the call with quiet courage and gave his life in 1918, now laid to rest at Houthulst Military Cemetery where his service is remembered.
