Biography
Alfred Dupont was known in his community as a principled lawyer whose counsel steadied families across northern France during years of tension before the war.
When the conflict reached Douai he did not abandon the people he served, and in 1915 he was among those gathered to share their fate; he is commemorated at Douai Cemetery, a quiet place for one who upheld the law through dark times.
