Alfred Saker (1814–1880) was a missionary whose decades in Cameroon brought education, care, and the translation of scripture into the Duala language, nurturing local Christian communities and schools.

He is remembered at Nunhead Cemetery for forging enduring bonds between peoples, laying foundations for future leaders, and returning to England with deep respect for West African cultures.
