Alice A. W. Cadwallader was born in 1832 and became a pillar of her local community, nurturing her family and neighborly ties through changing times and meeting the demands of a growing nation with grace.

When she died in 1910, those who knew her remembered a patient listener and quiet steward of everyday kindness, now resting at Riverside Cemetery where generations may still visit her grave.
