Biography

Alice Bradford Wiles devoted herself to organizing women into clubs that promoted education, public health, and civic betterment at a time when such networks were forging a new voice for women in the city.

Through her calm leadership and encouragement of philanthropic projects, she helped establish enduring programs for families and neighbors, and she is commemorated by friends and fellow volunteers at Oak Woods Cemetery.
