Alice Graham Baker

Biography

Alice Graham Baker (1864-1932) founded the Houston Settlement Association and tirelessly championed services for working families, believing that a strong community cared for its most vulnerable members.

Her personal example of service inspired many volunteers, and her memory endures alongside fellow civic leaders at Glenwood Cemetery.
