Alice Russell Glenny

Biography

Alice Russell Glenny (1858–1924) shaped Buffalo's cultural life with her paintings and her leadership among the city's artists, lending her talent to exhibitions and events that celebrated regional creativity.

She also championed civic causes, supporting art education and beautification efforts, and her gracious spirit is remembered among friends and patrons who visit her grave at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
