Alice Warfield Allen (1869–1929) was a prominent Washington socialite and mother of Wallis Warfield Spencer Simpson, who would become the Duchess of Windsor. Born into an established Baltimore family, Alice moved in the highest circles of American society and was known for her social prominence and connections.
Her daughter's marriage to Edward VIII, the King of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, brought international attention to the family, though Alice herself remained a respected figure in Washington society throughout her life.
