Biography

Alina Skarzyńska was a Polish woman born in 1927 who came of age during World War II and the subsequent reconstruction of Poland. She lived through some of the most challenging and transformative years in Polish history, witnessing both tremendous hardship and the resilience of the Polish people.

Skarzyńska's memory is honored at Cmentarz Bródnowski, one of Warsaw's most important cemeteries. Her life reflects the experiences of her generation, who navigated the complexities of twentieth-century Poland with courage and determination.
