Allen Bowie Duckett

Biography

Allen Bowie Duckett was born in 1775 into the Duckett family whose land provided a firm anchor for neighbors as the new nation found its footing, and he grew among the homesteads that surround Duckett Family Cemetery.

Though his days were brief, he labored side by side with kin, helped maintain the local churchyard, and left an impression of generosity that endures on the slopes where he now rests.
