Allen Haddock, born in 1845, devoted his energies to the engineering projects that shaped the region’s railways and ports, always insisting that progress serve the people who lived alongside the tracks.

He carried that same rigor into community affairs, supporting vocational training, and ensuring his workers were treated with fairness; his legacy can still be felt by those who enjoy the connections his work helped establish. His spirit rests peacefully at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.
