Biography
Dr. Almah Jane Frisby broke ground as a physician and academic, serving as one of the first women appointed to the University of Wisconsin faculty and devoting herself to public health campaigns that addressed dairy safety and rural sanitation.
Her commitment to education and her pioneering leadership for women in medicine echoed beyond her lifetime, and she was honored with burial at Forest Home Cemetery.
