Biography
Alois Kartaš was born in 1879 and lived through one of the most dynamic periods of Czech history, witnessing the transition from the Austro-Hungarian Empire to the independent Czechoslovak state. His long life spanned nearly a century of significant change and development.
Kartaš made his home in Prague and was an integral part of the community throughout his years. He passed away in 1963 and was laid to rest in the Cemetery in Židenice, where his memory is preserved among the graves of his neighbors and fellow residents.
