Biography

Alois Larisch (1810–1880) was a clothweaver who practiced his craft in Krnov during the nineteenth century. As a skilled tradesman, he represented the working artisans whose labor sustained the textile industries of Central Europe.

His life spanned a period of industrial change, and his work as a weaver connected him to centuries-old traditions of textile craftsmanship. He was buried in the Cemetery in Krnov, where his memory remains among the community he served.
