Biography
Alois Sýkora was born in 1886 and lived through the transformation of the Czech lands from the Austro-Hungarian Empire to an independent nation. He witnessed the establishment of Czechoslovakia and lived through both the interwar years and World War II.
Sýkora died in 1947 at the age of 61, surviving the war and living into the post-war period. He was buried in Vinohrady Cemetery, where his memory is preserved among the Prague community.
