Biography
Alois Weinberger was a prominent member of Brno's Jewish community, living from 1846 to 1921. He witnessed the transformation of Central Europe through the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
Weinberger's long life spanned the height of the Austro-Hungarian Empire through its dissolution and the establishment of the Czechoslovak state. He remains part of the historical record of Brno's Jewish heritage.
